I'm at the Albert Hall tonight! It'll be my third Nick Mason show after the first Roundhouse gig and the last time at RAH. Looking forward to hearing some more deep cuts!

Nick took part in the workshop today at Montreux to tell some stories from the 1970 and AHM:

            https://www.montreuxjazzfestival.com/en ... ick-mason/

Gutted that it was today and not tomorrow, as I’m heading to Montreux only tomorrow. I hope that this will surface on YouTube or somewhere else.

I’m mega pumped for the concert. I’ve seen the band on each leg but the last one (had to avoid Covid infection) but still feel like seeing them the first time. Or even more excited than the first time.

The show yesterday was great. The band is on fire and it looks like they have as much fund playing those songs together as we have listening to their band.

as all concerts during the MJF this one was also recorded (audio and video). I hope it’s going to be released in some form and we don’t need to wait for it till a noble anniversary

I’m a bit confused with seeing the title appearing on pages with set lists, but I don’t remember them playing Childhood’s End yesterday. Can anyone else confirm that my memory serves me well?

Following Nicks permission to record the concert from the audience, I took some videos.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm sure others has noticed the odd way Guy is singing Scarecrow. To me it sounds very off key, but it seems to be on purpose. I wonder why he has chosen to sing it like that and not how Syd originally sang it.

I hear a bit of Rick in his vocal approach.

They definitely did Childhood's End in Bristol, I was mouthing along to it as it's the one I know the best from repetitive playing of it over the decades...

This is probably due to your region. How about using VPN?

                      VPN does not help

All shows in Montereux are and have been recorded - audio and video. That’s why the festival vaults are protected by UNESCO.

The live feed was screened on the sides during the concert. It looked very nice, nothing special, as the same discreet set up is used for all artists - but for example it gave an excellent view on Don’s work and great playing.

Some of the shows were even broadcast live on YT, but not the Saucers.

it’s going to be interesting if this is going to be released or just archived as other shows over decades.

Here’s my review and some additional pictures on AFG: https://www.pinkfloydz.com/concerts-...l-switzerland/

He is trying to sing below the natural range of his voice, so can't hit the lowest notes. His timing also seems a bit suspect, and he doesn't play the correct bass line on the outro.

Beyond that he does a smashing job.
