The pink doll was lit up in Los Angeles and Earls Court 1980. Nassau had blue spotlights on the wall for the 27th but the other dates are otherwise unknown currently. Dortmund and Earls Clurt 1981 had the wall very dimly lit with blue projections from the back projectors. No animation or anything, just a blue tint. In Earls Court 1981 they turned off right before the last verse and then spotlights would pan all over the crowd.

Forgive the semi-necrobump, but it also seems to differ night-to-night whether or not Roger sings "I don't need your arms around me" as in the demos, or "I don't need no arms around me", as in the finished album cut. Very neat little variation. That song is also one that varies a lot depending on his mood on the night; sometimes he sings it very fast and almost metal-like, other times he sings it normally, and others still he sings it kind of painfully slowly. I can't remember what the faster nights are, but this is based on the few boots I've recollected (28-02-80, 08-02-80, 07-02-80, euro date format). If anyone can remind me what the nights where he sings it very fast (to the point of outpacing the intro drum breakdown and necessitating the rest of the band catch up to him quite audibly) are I'd appreciate it.

February 16th 1981 has it pretty fast and almost cut off.

My favourite Brick 3 has absolutely gotta be February 20th 1981. Roger is PISSED.

Thank you! Those two gigs are a great example, too -- on the 16th he sang "your arms", and on the 20th he sang "no arms". Very weird that he varied it so shortly. He also yells something on the 20th I can't make out -- something about "four words"?

It is quite possible that during the "Wall" tour, Roger continued to look for more accurate constructions of phrases and their content...

Maybe it happened subconsciously, who knows?

Speaking of changing lyrics, in one show (I don't remember which one) during Goodbye Cruel World the phrase "goodbye all you people" is changed to "goodbye all you whistlers"
