So what do you think, is there a philosophical message behind this? Or, as any other major brand, they don't take any decission any more and it's just a corporate action? I mean, do you really see David, Roger or Nick calling their lawyers and saying 'close down all those sites'? If that's the case, well, they're not in it for the music anymore. I can't see Roger, after all the music and lyrics about free will and against the powers that be, taking the time for this. I know we are a lot of musicians here in this forum, would you really take a decision like this against bootlegs? I mean, if someone collects bootelgs, someone has to sell them (of course I'm leaving our community out of this matter, we don't make any profit of our hobby).

PF Management, why don't you do it right and go against the streaming services fees? You'd be doing a service to all the musicians who can't afford making a record and in case you can, you'd be earning coins out of them. That's where the money is, since you're so in it for the money. Or are you part of the cake? I'm so mad. I won't be listening to this band for a very, very, very long time.

If I was a betting man I wager it was those 2 recent Sigma DSOTM master tape and outtake releases that pissed Roger off. The master tape one (which is excellent) is really a pirate not a bootleg to be honest.

The docket shows the plaintiff as Pink Floyd (1987) Ltd, which would seem to rule out Roger being behind bringing the case. The Filing 7 Attorney appearance by '...Eugene...' caught my eye.

Could be. But I guess at some point you either are in it for the money, or for the legacy. The Beatles might the the most bootlegged band in terms of studio outtakes and demos, I have never ever saw, watched or listened any single comment of the fab four related to bootlegs. They know it's flattering to be bootlegged. It's free publicity and it shows you have a market. At that level, really, how much money can you lose?

That's exactly what I thought... we get angry because they go after those who market: serious documentation, hours of effort, years of searching. everything to put it in a poor quality plastic box with its seal and charge you for what it has never cost.
