could you explain - is there extra guitar bit in On The Run as it was in 2003 Guthrie 5.1 Mix (near 1:15 point) - or On The Run mixed like original stereo mix without any extra bit ?

This is not a new mix. Same old original mix with subtle EQ changes on each track.

I think the Atmos mix is fantastic, and I wasn't even using a home theater setup. I'm using a FiiO Jade Audio KA1 DAC with Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 ohm headphones connected to my Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Dual-SIM Version (actual product name, why Samsung?) running Android 13 with the latest version of Android and the latest beta of Apple Music for Android.

                Hi Ron,

what is your final verdict on this? Is it better than the Box-Version?

Yes, it does sound better. Wider soundstage and more headroom makes it crankable. I had a nice conversation with Andy J yesterday who explained his decisions and process for the remaster. I really wish he wasn't retired!

Am I right in thinking that the tracks in the Wembley standalone CD version are exactly the same as the tracks in the Immersion box set? Is it only the LP version that has been remastered?

It's the same content, can't speak for the actual files on the disc. They could have at least given us Echoes. That's my main criticism of the boxset, honestly. It's so underwhelming. Roger's rerecording is not going to be for everyone, but he and his current band actually putting in effort to make something special and worthy of the 50th anniversary. The remix James Guthrie made is fantastic (as I expect from him at this point) but the content overall? Just a disappointment. The Atmos mix was really good, but I just don't see how the boxset can be justified at the price, especially when compared to the Why Pink Floyd...? campaign 12 years ago. Just a shame, really.

No. Andy Jackson remastered his previous work for this release. It has more headroom and a wider soundstage.

What exactly do you pay 300,- € for this box as a fan?

Totally off-topic but this album cover from 1941 looks vaguely familiar...

Great find, which even would qualify for a separate topic and list respectively (e.g. "Floyd Piracy") ... :-)

No, as everyone knows, Storm's intentions were that the prism symbolically represents A a lightshow and B a pyramid, and the pyramid symbolically represents greed. Aubrey also explains that the original inspiration with the prism came from a book called "Light And Color".

Atmos mix sounds very nice, had only one listen so far. I’m really impressed by rototoms part of Time, vcs3 sounds very strong but clear. It’s pricey of course but I wouldn’t expect anything better( in terms of opening the vaults) from our beloved band these days.
