Great find, not seen this before. And the ticket stub is new to me as well, which matches up with the city stated, Auditorium Theatre, Chicago 27th October 1971.

Would be very nice if someone would download it and torrent it here…

We've had this in our 8mm playlist for quite a long time. We never felt the need to make a huge announcement 1: because it's old and 2: speaking from experience, despite having audio...this film is quite unsyncable. Half of the fucking film is them tuning etc. and even when it IS them playing, it's all spliced out of order and the scan is so horrendous that you can't really stitch things together besides some tuning stuff.

I've tried to reach out to the guy but no luck. I know the filmer's name and I have his info.

I was really disappointed when attempting to sync this footage only to find that nothing really works. It's the first time an 8mm film has just totally left me stumped. The guy is a horrendous filmer. That being said, I'm glad it exists.

Thanks for your comments and I understand your frustration about this.
But since we have nothing else from this date, I would welcome it here, hoping for something better on the (near) future…

Did they film stuff when the house lights went up? Invaluable footage of... errr... the band leaving the stage multiple times and... errrr.... Roger Waters batting a ball around.

Interesting to see their gear, including a VCS-3 tentatively perched in the keyboard rig. Maybe a fresh transfer would reveal more gear details, even if the songs are elusive.

I can see that would be impossible to sync. And I have seen your name on a lot of videos to now to your opinion. Thank you for your efforts!

Oh, incredible to see 1971 stuff.. that was really known already by some?.. If so, are there more such snippets? Is there a list somewhere?.. Ah, anyway, thank you very much Eugene79 for this discovery, at least for me..

Unfortunately no, not from this film. No other public films that aren't known by the folks here either. Unless there's something else buried on the internet that somehow nobody has managed to discover.

Wow, surprised I have never seen this. The quality is not bad at all. I can see how this would be a nightmare to sync though. Really cool all the same!
