    Gilmour's thoughts on L&S

What he says at the end is quite the statement.

Looks like that video is no longer available. So try this one.

The afterparty is just for premium users. Does it have any specific contents, which could make me consider to become a YT premium user?

        Both videos don't work...

Did David say "something superfluous" again?

Was the 'After Party' video (above) anything more than the first video in this search?

          Here's the actual video.....

It was video of just over 3 min. of David talking about a certain guitar and playing around with it. At the end he says this Album is the best stuff he has written since The Dark Side of The Moon, over 50yrs ago. You could tell he meant it.

Yup, that's the Video. I must have posted the live link, which ended of course.

He has clearly moved on and wants to detach himself from a certain era, which is perfectly alright. Comments like "This is my best work since Dark Side" are completely delusional to me, because I have not moved on.

That quote actually makes more sense in context of the interview.

There are some bits in the video that make me a lot more excited for the album than the stuff we've heard so far. The orchestral and choral bits and complexity of the production sound amazing. (And Steve Gadd!) Dave's admission that he always preferred being part of something than a solo act is a revealing one, though. He really benefits from a songwriting partner - and not just for the lyrics.

                I agree. Good insight.

I don't know where to ask this question about the booklet of the album. David thanks a lot of people like every album. But I am curious to know why Mark Knopfler is among them ?
If I'm not mistaken, they recorded something together last year, but nothing since... And Mark didn't work on L&S.

Maybe he will be one of the guest during the english concerts ?

I think Dave used his studio for some recording.

Depends a lot on who and what you follow and the content they release I guess. I have had premium for years just to be free from commercials.

Thanks, but I was referring to the contents of the 'Afterparty' video only.

You didn't miss anything. I believe they just showed some of the video to premium subs. before releasing full video.

I buy most of my music digitally these days. So no booklet for me. Is there a scan of it anywhere. I miss not seeing credits and lyrics.
