Wish You Were Here and The Bar, with Outside The Wall tagged on the end.

He and Dave both got lost a few times there. It’ll be interesting to see what the final version forms into, that meandered a bit for what it was.

Funny that he got a big round of applause after the second verse or so. Everyone thought (or hoped?) the song was over and he said “no, I’ve got 3 more verses”. He’s going to have to tighten up the song before it’s released.

What do you mean with "tighten up"? You mean, cut it up like a pop single, Godrich-style? That would be a disgrace!

Yeah, he fumbled into a false stop there that Dave didn’t really know how to save. Telling the crowd to shut up so he could get on with it was amusing, but they seemed to be in good spirits about it.

Lots of blank expressions a few minutes after that though. I love his songwriting, but he needs more than just Dave strumming along to keep it going.

I’m interested in hearing more of it, professionally recorded etc.

When I heard it on tour, I thought the piece was pretty good even in its relatively early state.

Other than Mother, It was the only non Dark Side song he played at the two Redux concerts He played it in full at those shows too, but had a full band

Sorry, but for me there were too many commercial ads interrupting the concert on YouTube. More than I am used to and more than I'm willing to bear, regardless my (certainly different) view on Palestine. So, why didn't Roger Waters spent some of his money to enable an ad-free stream, particular since Palestine is highly prioritized on his agenda?

Even if you don't monetize a video or stream on YouTube, YouTube will still show ads on it nowadays, and there's nothing anyone can do about it except pay for premium or use an adblocker and hope for the best.

Given what is unfolding, it's nice to see a musician standing up for their ideals and doing something positive, amongst all the slaughter and destruction.

I'm not a fan of either Gilmour or Waters post Floyd - but I certainly have more respect for Waters' political views now than I ever did before. And his past comments certainly don't come across as extreme as they once were perceived.

It's a shame because Gilmour did support the Hoping foundation for Palestine - which put on some amazing gigs over the years. I recall seeing one Hoping event at the Brixton Academy with Spiritualized, Primal Scream and Nick Cave... now that was a line-up. I don't think it cost more than £20 for a ticket. Lots of standing though, I do remember that.
Anyway, I'll check this gig out later today - I'm curious about "The Bar" - I'm guessing it's not a 10 minute epic about queuing up to get a drink?

I recently discovered SmartTube. If you're using a Smart TV visit THIS site and follow the guide for what is essentially free YouTube - and it even eliminates the sometimes annoying sponsors (not just the ads, the sponsors) You can adjust the settings in the program to show/skip, etc.

It's a free alternative if you're in a squeeze and can't afford the premium fee. It's open-source and seems to be perfectly legal (for now)

It would be nice if this thread would be closed due to it being political. I've been warned numerous times from members and mods that this great forum was to focus solely on music and that no one wants to hear about Roger's blatant anti-Semitism, politics, etc.

Truly fascinating to contradict your own point in one statement, I can only assume this is a joke.

Since you're not answering my question in a PM, I'll try here. There's nothing contradicting in my statement. It's not a joke. You can get as many likes you want but that doesn't change my statement. I don't know if English is your first language, so I'll expand on the comment for you - People on here are discussing Roger's politics, his support for Palestine etc. Yet I've been told this illustrious forum is not allowed to discuss these things and that people only want to discuss 'music'. So as a Jew, I don't appreciate being told I can't illustrate and discuss that Roger is a raving anti-Semite and that I support Israel's justifiable defense against the Palestinian elected Hamas. Seems that Mr. David Gilmour agrees with me about Roger. By the way, David Gilmour plays a mean guitar.

For someone who doesn't want to pay tax in the UK and yet believes he should try to influence who we should vote for is a much more concerning issue . The guy believes he is some sort of Prophet in his live shows and is probably on a par with Murdoch . Although I still enjoy listening to DSTOM , for me it was always about the music and the lyrics were secondary

In my opinion, the collective creativity of PF won a clean dry victory over solo projects with a score of 4:0

In my personal opinion, a Broken China is something completely separate.
It is quite possible that all Richard's solo projects could have had a similar character and manner of performance if he had constantly written music as a solo artist.

I did not expect such a quick, sharp and sudden attack
