Actually I think the ban on phones was very sensible, because I don't get why somebody would pay to go to a concert just to see the show through a cellphone.
THAT SAID, I am glad to see some footage of this show surface, no matter the quality, so that those of us who had no chance to go can get a chance to see what the show looked like.

Yeah, I agree. IDK if there would be enough demand to make a commercial video of the night viable, so I'm glad someone snuck in a phone for the rest off us.

That's not necessary. It's very easy to use a flip case, make sure you have a good angle, hit the record button, close the case and try to keep the position, then just check every 5-10 minutes that everything is in order. You enjoy the show and then let others enjoy your recording. Even easier in a seated event like this one!
