Hi there. I swear I read somewhere that in some certain 1973 performance they played some chords progression from SOYCD. Does anybody remember this or am I imagining things?

I don't remember : perhaps during the intro of Obscured By Clouds which could vaguely makes you think about the intro of Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
Otherwise, the middle-jam of Childhood's End : sure it was influenced by Cream's We're Going Wrong, but you can also hear some parts of what will be used for What Should We Do Now? (the chord progression).
I can't have in mind another piece from 1973 where there could have been enough part of intro to hear some snippets of Shine On.
Perhaps Set The Controls For. The Heart Of The Sun ?

I listened to the various versions from Dec 1,5,9 1972 and March 6 and 8 1973 and didn't hear anything distinctly as far as Shine On. I was also thinking that middle part of Rick's right before Dave comes in towards the end can sound vaguely like it depending on the sound quality of the recording. For every mile of road, there's two miles of ditch.
