    Best of each tour

I am looking to create a playlist of Floyd's best show from each tour in terms of sound quality and was wondering if anyone has any inputs.
I am looking for only 1 show from each tour, although I wouldn't mind a couple if they were really close.

Earlier, I used to just have all Harvested releases and releases by MOB or FRP. I just want to see if there are upgrades available now!

Sound quality ≠ performance quality. Performance is more worth it. All I gotta say.

True. I agree as well. This is just something I want to do.

I’d be interested in such a list. Though I agree with Nuffm that the best sound quality doesn’t necessarily make it the best recording, there are circumstances where I’d choose sound quality over playing quality. If I am in the car with others who are unfamiliar with the Floyd, they are unlikely to be willing to put up with worse sound quality recordings in the same way we would!

One per Tour? I would have diffculties to put 10 per year. It depends also on so many things. Good luck.

This might be a good place to start:

Yes, seems like a great starting point. Thanks.

Now, this isn't to say that some amazing shows don't have great audio, that certainly is not the case! Hollywood Bowl 72, Maple Leaf 73, Millard 75, Hamilton 75, Paris 25th 77, Zurich 3rd 77, several Wall shows etc. But it is also true that some groundbreaking performances are only available as horse shit AUDs, like Santa Monica 1970. It's just how things are.

Well what do You take, Hollywood Bowl or Böblingen for 1972? Both legendary performances with awesome sound. Ah, rankings are wankings but they can be fun without too much constrict.

            Personally, Hollywood Bowl!

Another problem to consider is what songs were played. You could have the best recording/performance from 1970, but you'd need to have Birmingham and Sheffield because they have unique set lists.
