    Roger's Time

"Time" from Roger's Dark Side of the Moon Redux is now available on Apple Music (and I assume, other streaming services).

There is prose from Waters during the intro, but not too much. Without context it is very difficult to understand what he is talking about, so I guess we should wait for the full album to get the story.

The song sounds very nice. The intro is really laid back and has a very nice, melancholic, understated acoustic guitar. The song progresses pretty much how you'd expect it to, with Roger "Dylanising" it! Still, sounds really nice and I prefer it to Money.

Then again, I always preferred Time to Money!

I really enjoyed this, more than I anticipated. The organ, theremin, and string section in the solo section gave me chills.

Roger took an epic song and made it boring. Well done!

What I like is the production value of it. For some reason I like the very upfront vocals BUT... the actual vocals are presented in a very Shatneresque way. "No one...told you...when to run....You miss...the..starting GUN!"

Was falling asleep for the most part until the Division Bell ending.

The drum kit sounds like one of those electronic things kids programme and call music.

This is awesome. I love the production and instrumentation on these so far.

I admit that it's way better than that awful attempt at Money. I actually liked this one quite a bit on the first listen and can see myself going back to it. Those horrendous drums need to go, though. And I dunno. End the song better? Lol

Not horrid by any means...I would say it is "a pretty fair forgery."

I agree with those that say it's better than Money but still don't like it. It's just not my bag but I respect that some like it. I prefer guitars and singing rather than poetry and spoken word over a synth bed. Honestly I'd rather see what Korn or Gov't Mule would do with DSOTM. I love Korn's version of ABitW1-3 and Gov't Mule's Floyd content on current tour is great.

Drums are horrible. Limited spoken drivel. I will be able to play my own leads over it.

I think it would be great if it was just the women vocalists and not William Shatner.

                    Massively better than Money.

Yup. Like the modern Jethro Tull stuff. Lifeless programmed drums, all dull and flat but still awkwardly jutting out in the mix.

As far as I know, the drums aren't programmed. It's actually Joey Waronker playing. Roger's current production team just likes that late 70's dead studio sound.

Credit then to Joey for playing in such a precisely rhythmic manner!

Credit to him indeed. Let's not shoot the messenger for supplying the message (that is, let's not be angry at Joey for how Roger wanted it produced), because it is due to such this reliability that Joey is as well-regarded a session musician as he is.
