The interesting thing about this is from the rhythm sections perspective you get a great sense at how warped the recording sessions were. This is of course already on top of Syd’s naturally interesting music and sense of rhythm to begin with! I love those solo records especially Madcap. It’s like a weird b side to Ummagumma featuring Soft Machine on occasion. 1969-70 was truly a great period for all involved. Plus this is all while the Floyd are writing, touring, and recording virtually non stop. Props to em.
