Can someone help me with this beatles performance?

The Beatles' (1968, September 4th) performance is very confusing, can somebody explain it throughly?
there are so many versions of hey jude and revolution and so many takes too!
And i read somewhere that they performed revolution in another pre-recorded version too? Any info will be appreciated

3 takes of Hey Jude, 2 takes of Revolution and some other bits are included from the same uncut master source in the "Complete Sessions" White Album folder on the Beatleg forum mentioned above (which include literally everything).
