A band that should have been bigger. So much better than 90% of what came out in the 80s. I think World of Fantasy from Never Surrender was the first video I ever saw on MTV.

I've recently been listening to DIO, Metallica, and Iron Maiden. I enjoy DIO and Metallica the most, with Iron Maiden lacking a bit in the vocals department.Careful with That Axe, Eugene....
My Favorite Versions of Careful with That Axe
1. Live at Pompeii
2. Ummagumma
3. Belgium, 1969 (Music Power and European Music Revolution)
4. Brighton Dome, 1972
5. Boblingen, 1972
6. New York, Radio City Music Hall, 1973
7. BBC Radio Session, 1970
8. Carnegie Hall, 1972

I'm currently listening to a German band called Chandeen, and their 2020 album 'Mercury Retrograde'. I was so enthralled with this record that I wrote about it on my website in 2021, interviewing most of the key players. Primarily, Chandeen are a duo, blending dream pop, classic rock guitar sounds, and shoegaze. For this album, they invited in outside collaborators, guest singers specifically, in addition to their own vocalist. The result is a united album with varying perspectives. Their youngest collaborator was 16, and the others spanned from the UK, France and the US. I haven't heard anything quite like it, and it's become one of my favourite albums.
Check it out, this is the third track called 'I Don't Care If I'm Wasted' featuring their UK collaborator Holly Henderson.

So, this is probably my favorite current band (modern era, although this is an older show). Hey, German folks... do you love them as much as I do? I am so jealous that you can see them live! If anyone here collects CH, please, please, please PM me!!
